This disclaimer covers RightLine Check, a product of BaneyGroup LLC ("RightLine", "we", "us"), and our website, videos, posts and demos. It is part of our Terms of Service. If the two differ, the Terms control.
Not a guarantee of payment
"No issues found" means only that RightLine's rules found nothing on that visit. No result guarantees payment or means a claim won't be denied, audited or clawed back. RightLine Check can miss problems and flag things that are fine, and we don't promise it is error-free or always available.
What it checks against
The checks use public payer rules and coding sources, such as CMS rules and Novitas, WPS, CGS and Palmetto GBA policies for Medicare Part B, the published policies of the named plans and state Medicaid programs, and general coding and documentation rules. Each flag names its source. Medicare Part B checks use national rules in every state, plus some of the contractor edits and policies for Novitas, WPS, CGS and Palmetto GBA. For Novitas JL (NJ, PA, DE, MD and DC), that means national rules plus Novitas JL's published claim edits. Rules change, payers can read the same rule differently, and updates can take time to reach RightLine Check.
What it doesn't check
- Code pairs (NCCI edits).
- A patient's own coverage, benefits, visit limits or visits left; visit-count checks rely on the numbers you enter.
- Each Medicare Advantage plan's own rules, Medicaid managed care plans' own rules, Medicaid in states without a rule pack, workers' compensation or auto insurance rules.
- Other commercial plans' own rules (only general rules run).
- Prior authorization, other than the ASH review check.
- Your own payer contracts or fee schedules.
- Past claims, other than a previous note you paste.
Not professional advice
Nothing from RightLine is legal, billing, coding or medical advice. RightLine Check doesn't diagnose, recommend treatment or replace the treating doctor's clinical judgment.
You stay responsible
Your practice, its doctors and billing staff stay responsible for the codes, documentation and claims you submit, and for following the laws and payer rules that apply to you. Results cover only what you enter. A doctor's sign-off on a flag is your practice's decision, not RightLine's approval.
Samples and patient information
Our samples are made up or de-identified, with no patient names, dates or ID numbers. Results on samples are examples only.
Until our attorney review is complete and we tell you in writing that real patient information is allowed, use only sample, de-identified or made-up details. Don't enter real patient information anywhere, including our forms and messages. Before any use with real patient information is allowed, we will offer your practice a Business Associate Agreement.
"Built with a working chiropractor"
A practicing chiropractor, one of the people who run RightLine, helped write the checks. That isn't independent review, and it doesn't mean any licensing board, professional association, payer or agency has approved RightLine Check.
No affiliation or endorsement
RightLine is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Novitas Solutions, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, American Specialty Health (ASH), the American Medical Association (AMA), or any other payer, agency or EHR company we name. Their names and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to describe our product.
